Andy Thompson heads off to India to compete in the 2009 World Powerlifting Championships

Andy Thompson and the other British Squad members embark on their journey to India with the aim of bringing back gold.

 They go with the support of family, friends, sponsors and of course any other british supporter.

We are told that the World Powerlifting Championships 2009 are to be streamed live on the internet.

Andy leaving on Saturday 31st October from Newcastle Airport to meet up with the rest of the Great Britain Squad.
