Mick Hunnam

When I started powerlifting I became the N.E. Counties champion in body weights 67.5, 75 and 82.5kgs and was unbeaten for 28 years up till 2001. And was also Y.N.E. senior champion at the same body weights.
In 1973 I became the first powerlifter to achieve Black Award in competition at 67.5kgs body weight. I hold and have held numerous British and European senior and masters powerlifting records.
In 1996 I was Gold Medalist in the World Masters held in New Delhi India. I was European Champion in Hamm 2000 and Gyor Hungary 2001.
I am an international catagory 1 referee and also do a lot of coaching for younger powerlifters some who are British champions and have lifted in European & World championships.
